Happy New Year! I took a bunch of weeks off to spend time with friends, family, and indulge in some much needed post-election reflection over the holiday season. I hope you also took time to recharge with those that mean the most to you and that 2017 is off to a great start!
This week, I created HALF a poster for SCCA. Next week, the school is holding it’s quarterly open house for prospective students to learn about the design program and ask questions of instructors, current students, and alumni. For this open house, they’ve also organized a collaborative poster show with current students and alumni. Students and alumni were matched anonymously and given the prompt “Love is…” for the subject of their poster. Each student/alumni designer was responsible for producing half of the other’s poster design, so the final poster will be a surprise when the designers will meet their match at the open house. The event is open to the public next Thursday February 2nd between 5:30-7:30PM so come by and check out the final products of this fun and challenging design exercise.
The top half of the my actual submission is blank and will feature my co-creator’s design in the final print, but for the version on this site I’ve added information promoting the show.
UPDATE: If you missed the open house, the show will be on display for Capitol Hill Art Walk at Creative Blueprint (1617 Boylston Avenue) for the month of February!
